Lip 7–10 mm long, the hypochile forming a sac-like spur 2.5–4.5 mm long; the epichile 5.5–8 × 7–9.2 mm, 3-lobed in apical half, the lobes rounded, ± equal in length.
Leaves on flowering stem 5–10, well spaced out along the stem, up to 10 × 2.5 cm, lanceolate; leaves on sterile shoot 2, up to 28 × 3.5 cm, oblanceolate, petiolate.
Inflorescence dense, many-flowered, 5.5–12.5 × 3–5 cm; ovary and pedicel 11–15 mm long; bracts up to 26 × 4.5 mm, lanceolate.
Sepals elliptic; dorsal sepal 7–10.5 × 2.5–4.5 mm, lateral sepals usually slightly longer and oblique.
Petals 6–10 × 1.5–4.5 mm, obliquely oblanceolate or elliptic, attached to column at the base.
Terrestrial herb 30–65 cm tall with long, thick cylindrical roots.
Flowers white or mauve, the lip darker and spotted.
Column slender, 4.5–5.5 mm long.
