Dorsal sepal 15–16 × 6–10 mm, elliptic, subacute; lateral sepals 16–17 × 6–10 mm, obliquely ovate, obtuse.
Petals 10–14 × 7.5–11 mm, obliquely ovate, standing forward beside the column.
Epiphytic herb 15–40 cm tall with fleshy, woolly, cylindrical roots.
Leaves up to 15, c. 8 × 2–2.5 cm, lanceolate, acute.
Large lilac or violet flowers in a short raceme
Flowers violet to mauve-purple.
Column stout, c. 4 mm long.
