Characteristics

Plants erect, to 320 mm, slender to fairly robust; tubers in clusters of up to 10, cylindrical, to 80 x 7 mm; leaves cauline, closely imbricate, lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, acute, glabrous, green, to 60 x 17 mm. Inflorescences lax to dense spikes, to 130 mm long; bracts to 32 x 6 mm. Flowers numerous, to c. 12 x 5 mm, sepals brownish, petals and lip pale green; ovaries c. 10 mm long. Sepals subequal, scaphoid, shielding gynostemium, acute, 4 x 2 mm. Petals free or basally fused to the gynostemium, lanceolate, acute, c. 3 x 2 mm. Lip spathulate, c. 4 mm long, strongly recurved, distinctly trilobed apically; midlobe triangular-ovate, obtuse; side lobes triangular, acute; spur cylindrical, subclavate, emarginate, 1.7-2.5 mm long. Rostellum c. 1 mm tall, three-lobed, lateral lobes bearing the viscidia, central lobe reduced; anther c. 3 mm tall, erect.
