Characteristics

Leaves connate below. Leaf blades shorter than connate sheath. Cushion-forming, succulent shrublet to 10 cm. Leaves trigonous, keel and margin cartilaginous, shiny, glaucous, to 11 mm long, 5 mm broad and thick, sheaths to 6 mm long. Flowers solitary, pink, to 24 mm diam., bracteoles clasping pedicel. Capsules 5-locular.
