Characteristics

Plants 200-500 mm tall; basal sheaths 2, prominently veined, often muricate, inner acuminate, up to 100 mm long; leaves 2 (-3), linear to narrowly lanceolate, lower leaf the largest, up to 200 x 8 (-14) mm. Inflorescences lax, (3-) 12-17-flowered, up to 150 mm long. Flowers c. 10 mm in diameter, white to soft pink, with red-brown-purple spots on the petal lobe. Median sepal 7-12 mm long, galea c. 3 mm broad and 3 mm deep; spur occasionally clavate, darker pink than the rest of the flower, decurved from the middle, 5-10 mm long; lateral sepals 8-11 mm long. Petals suboblique, narrowly oblong, somewhat broader towards base, with a small basal anticous lobe flanking the stigma. Lip c. 1 mm long. Anther c. 3 mm long, apex upcurved; stigma vertical; rostellum c. 3 mm tall.
