Plant 40-120 cm tall. Basal leaves 2-4. Scape 1-4-branched or occasionally unbranched; bracts usually 3 or 4, all with broad base, tapering evenly to acute or obtuse apex; uppermost bract 8-30 mm long. Umbel with 5-22 flowers; bracts relatively small, the longest 4-12 mm long, rarely to 20 mm; longest mature pedicel 14-40 mm long. Buds pink or pinkish white. Tepals at anthesis not distinctly clawed, white; nectaries present. Anthers 2-3.5 mm long, yellow. Capsule not thickened on angles.
