Characteristics

Plant 20-50 cm tall. Basal leaves 4 or 5. Scape unbranched or with 1-3 branches; bracts 2 or 3; lowest bract resembling basal leaves or like uppermost one; uppermost bract usually 9-14 mm long, occasionally to 40 mm, broad, tapering evenly to a short point, occasionally dilated basally, with long narrow apical part. Umbel with 3-8 flowers; bracts relatively short, the longest 4-10 mm long; longest mature pedicel 18-50 mm long. Buds pink. Tepals at anthesis narrowed basally into a distinct claw, ±uniformly pink; nectaries absent. Anthers 2.5-4.2 mm long, yellow. Capsule not thickened on angles.
