Characteristics

Leaf linear, 120–170 × 4–9 mm, pale green, hairy. Flower stem 270–350 mm tall, 1-flowered. Flowers 50–60 mm across, wholly creamy-yellow to creamy-red with red stripes; sepals with yellowish brown clubs 12–15 × 1 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 40–60 × 1.5–2 mm. Lateral sepals spreading horizontally then decurved, 30–40 × 2–2.5 mm, divergent or crossing. Petals similarly arranged, 30–50 × 2.5–4 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 16–22 × 9–11 mm, forward-projecting, base white with red blotches and lines, apex dark maroon; margins with numerous thickened, upcurved, reddish teeth to 4 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 3 mm long, slender. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, cream to red, in 4 or 6 rows extending well onto midlobe. Column 15–17 × 5–6 mm, creamy-yellow with pink markings.
