Characteristics

Leaf linear, 150–250 × 5–12 mm. Flower stem 300–600 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 60–80 mm across, wholly reddish or pale yellow with reddish markings and suffusions; sepals and petals with thin light brown clubs 12–42 mm long. Dorsal sepal erect, 50–75 × 2.5–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading then decurved, 50–75 × 4–6 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 40–60 × 3–5 mm. Labellum 18–28 × 12–17 mm, base white with pink to red stripes, apex dark maroon; margins with numerous spreading, thin, maroon teeth to 8 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, maroon, in 4 or 6 rows onto midlobe. Column 20–24 × 10–14 mm, creamy yellow with pink markings.
