Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 80–120 × 8–12 mm, hairy. Flower stem 120–220 mm tall, sturdy, densely hairy, 1-flowered. Flowers 40–60 mm across, green to greenish yellow with red central stripes; sepals with brown clubs 5–12 × 1 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal incurved, 35–50 × 2.5–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly, obliquely decurved, 35–50 × 3–4 mm, parallel, tips often swept forwards. Petals decurved, 20–25 × 2–3 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 14–16 × 17–20 mm, green with a white central patch and maroon apex; basal margins with 5–8 pairs of thin green comb-teeth to 5 mm long; midlobe margins with numerous short red teeth; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 4 mm long. Lamina calli to 2 mm long, dark maroon, in 4 crowded rows onto base of maroon patch. Column incurved, 12–14 × 4.5–5.5 mm, transparent with reddish streaks; basal glands c. 2 mm long, club-shaped, yellow with a dark red basal stalk, shiny.
