Leaf narrowly linear, 50–70 × 1 mm, light green. Flower stem 120–240 mm tall, 1-flowered. Flowers 6–8 × 7–10 mm, white internally, externally dusky; labellum white with a few red bars, midlobe yellow, calli cream; column green with red bars. Dorsal sepal 5–7 × 2 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals 5–7 × 2 mm. Petals 4–6 × 2 mm, spreading. Labellum c. 5 × 5 mm; lateral lobes entire, incurved; midlobe short, narrow, recurved, entire or slightly irregular. Calli in 2 rows to base of midlobe.

Highly localised and poorly known; recorded growing among low shrubs near crests of gravelly hills in open forest. Apparently common when it was first discovered, but it has not been seen since 1964.
