Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 45–100 × 3–6 mm, densely hairy. Flower stem 30–150 mm tall, densely hairy, 1-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, reddish pink; sepals and petals with thick, blackish clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 25–35 × 1–2 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely decurved, 25–35 × 2–3 mm, divergent. Petals obliquely decurved, 20–25 × 1–2 mm. Labellum 10–13 × 7–10 mm, white to reddish with a maroon apex; margins with numerous narrow, reddish purple teeth to 1.5 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 1 mm long, reddish purple, in 4 or 6 rows. Column 10–14 × 4–5 mm; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, bright yellow.
