Characteristics

Leaf narrowly lanceolate, 80–150 × 5–8 mm. Flower stem 150–300 mm tall, wiry, 1-flowered. Flowers 40–60 mm across, greenish cream to cream with pink to reddish stripes and suffusions; labellum mostly dark red to maroon, base greenish cream, calli dark red; column translucent with red markings; sepals with short, dark, reddish black clubs 5–9 × 0.5 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 25–40 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed, 25–40 × 3.5–4.5 mm, divergent. Petals spreading to obliquely deflexed, 20–36 × 1.5–2 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 10–13 × 7–8.5 mm; margins with 5–9 pairs of purplish red teeth to 1.6 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 6–8, c. 1 mm long. Lamina calli to 2 mm long, maroon, in 4 or 6 rows. Column 9–12 × 3–4 mm, broadly winged; basal glands c. 0.8 mm long, globose, yellow.
