Characteristics

Leaf 50–120 × 5–15 mm. Flower stem 100–250 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 30–40 mm across, pale yellow with pink to red suffusions and stripes, sometimes wholly red; sepals with red or yellow clubs 2–10 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 20–35 × 1.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 20–35 × 2–5 mm, divergent. Petals stiffly decurved, 15–25 × 2–5 mm. Labellum 10–15 × 7–11 mm, glossy, waxy, yellowish with a maroon apex or wholly maroon; margins with 7–10 pairs of red teeth to 1 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 1 mm long, red, shiny, flat-topped, in 4 or 6 crowded rows. Column 8–9 × 4.5 mm, translucent; basal glands c. 0.8 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
