Caladenia catenata (Sm.) Druce

Leaf 70–120 × 3–4 mm, densely hairy. Flower stem 120–300 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 30–40 × 35–45 mm, glistening white or pinkish, externally dusky; labellum white or pink; midlobe with an orange tip; calli white or yellow; column usually green (sometimes with red stains). Dorsal sepal 16–22 × 3–3.5 mm, erect to recurved. Lateral sepals 20–28 × 4–5 mm, porrect. Petals 16–22 × 4–5 mm, porrect between lateral sepals. Labellum curved, 8–10 × 6–8 mm; lateral lobes entire, erect; midlobe triangular, recurved, margins wavy, with 8–18 long flat teeth. Calli in 2 rows to base of midlobe. Column 9–11 × 4 mm, broadly winged.

Widespread and common from coastal areas to the foothills; growing in a wide range of forested and heathy habitats in freely draining clay loams and sands.
