Characteristics

Leaf 100–200 × 8–12 mm. Flower stem 200–400 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 30–40 mm across, greenish yellow and red; sepals with reddish to blackish, short, swollen clubs 3–5 × 0.8 mm (sometimes absent); petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 30–35 × 2.5 mm. Lateral sepals spreading stiffly or obliquely decurved, 30–35 × 3–3.5 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 25–30 × 3 mm. Labellum 11–14 × 8–10 mm, heart-shaped, greenish to whitish with a maroon apex; margins usually entire, rarely with 4–6 pairs of short teeth, or bumps; tip recurved. Basal calli 4, c. 1.8 mm long. Lamina calli to 1 mm long, reddish purple, in 4 or 6 uncrowded rows. Column 10–12 × 4.5–5 mm, translucent with reddish markings; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, club-shaped, yellow with a red stalk.
