Characteristics

Leaf 50–120 × 1–3 mm. Flower stem 80–150 mm tall, 1-or 2–flowered. Flowers 12–16 × 20–25 mm, sweetly scented, white or pale pink to dark pink, pinkish to reddish externally; labellum white with prominent red bars and cream to yellow calli, midlobe cream; column whitish with red bars. Dorsal sepal 8–12 × 3–6 mm. Lateral sepals 8–13 × 3–5 mm, spreading stiffly forwards. Petals 8–12 × 3–5 mm, spreading widely. Labellum 7–8 × 4.5–6 mm; lateral lobes with 1 or 2 pairs of marginal teeth; midlobe recurved, with numerous, short, narrow, marginal teeth. Basal calli 2, c. 0.9 mm long; lamina calli c. 1 mm long, in 4–6 irregular rows nearly to labellum apex. Column 6–6.5 × 2.5 mm.
