Characteristics

Leaf linear lanceolate, 80–100 × 5–6 mm. Flower stem 150–200 mm tall, wiry, 1-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, pale yellow with reddish stains and streaks; labellum mostly dark red to maroon, base pale yellow, calli dark red; column translucent with red markings; sepals with very short, ovoid, dark red clubs 0.5–6 × 1 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 30–35 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 40–45 × 4.5–5 mm, divergent. Petals spreading to stiffly decurved, 25–30 × 2.5 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 15–17 × 9–10 mm; margins with 5–8 pairs of purplish red teeth to 1 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 6–8, c. 1 mm long, erect, clubbed. Lamina calli to 1.7 mm long, in 4 or 6 rows. Column 11–13 × 4–5 mm, broadly winged; basal glands c. 1 mm long, ovoid, yellow with a red base.
