Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 50–120 × 6–10 mm. Flower stem 200–350 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 50–70 mm across, white to greyish white, often with red median stripes; sepals and petals with relatively thick, grey to greyish black, glandular, thread-like tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 45–60 × 2.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed to drooping, 45–60 × 3.5–4 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 35–50 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum 14–16 × 8–10 mm, cream with reddish lines; margins with 14–20 thin, reddish, white-tipped marginal teeth to 2 mm long, shorter on midlobe; tip recurved. Basal calli 6–8, to 1 mm long. Lamina calli to 1 mm long, reddish, in 4 rows, central rows extending well onto midlobe. Column 11–13 × 4–5 mm, transparent with red markings; basal glands c. 1 mm long, obovoid, yellow with red base.
