Characteristics

Plants single or in small tufts. Leaf 70–150 × 2–7 mm. Flower stem 150–300 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 50–90 mm across, white or cream to pale yellow with dark red markings; sepals and petals with long, black, filamentous tips. Dorsal sepal erect, 45–70 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals spreading obliquely downwards, 50–75 × 2–3 mm. Petals horizontal or obliquely erect, 45–65 × 2–3 mm. Labellum 7–11 × 6–8 mm, cream to pale yellow with red stripes and blotches; margins with numerous short, blunt teeth; tip recurved. Calli anvil-shaped, cream, 6–14 pairs in 2 rows. Column 6–8 × 3–5 mm, yellowish with red markings.
