Characteristics

Leaf 80–220 × 8–12 mm. Flower stem 100–450 mm tall, 1–4-flowered. Flowers held horizontally, 20–30 mm across, greenish yellow with red suffusions and markings, broad tepals and a prominent broad labellum; sepals with short brown clubs 1–3 mm long or reduced to an inconspicuous cluster of glands; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal obovate, incurved, 15–22 × 2–4.5 mm. Lateral sepals projected stiffly forwards, 15–22 × 4–8 mm, nearly parallel. Petals spreading with recurved tips, 12–18 × 2–4 mm. Labellum flattish, rounded, 10–13 × 16–22 mm, green heavily streaked and stained with red; margins with numerous spreading, linear teeth (sometimes clubbed or forked) to 6 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 4, c. 1 mm long, thin. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, dark purplish red, in 4 crowded central rows. Column 7–8 × 4–5 mm, green with red markings; basal glands c. 2 mm long, yellow with a long thin red stalk.
