Characteristics

Leaf 60–100 × 3–7 mm. Flower stem 100–200 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 20–30 mm across, cream to pale yellow or whitish with red markings; sepals and petals strongly downcurved, short dark filamentous tips curved in close to ovary. Dorsal sepal erect, 20–30 × 2.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals spreading then decurved and incurved, 20–30 × 2.5–3 mm, crossing in front of ovary. Petals similarly arranged, 20–30 × 2–2.5 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 12–15 × 7–10 mm, white with faint red lines that break up to spots and blotches; margins recurved, entire or with few short teeth; tip recurved. Calli anvil-shaped, white with pale red marks, 6–10 pairs in 2 rows. Column 9–12 × 3–5 mm, greenish with red markings.
