Characteristics

Leaf 70–140 × 10–20 mm. Flower stem 200–400 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 25–40 mm across, pale yellow, strongly marked and suffused with red; sepals with thick, fleshy, yellowish brown to brown, flattish clubs 7–12 mm long; petals with small clubs 1–3 mm long. Dorsal sepal erect, 30–35 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 30–35 × 3.5–4 mm, divergent or crossed. Petals stiffly downcurved, 20–30 × 2 mm. Labellum 12–14 × 8–10 mm, maroon with a paler base; margins with 6–8 pairs of short, greenish to red teeth 1–2 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 6–8, c. 2 mm long, club-shaped, erect. Lamina calli to 2 mm long, dark maroon, in 4 crowded rows. Column 12–15 × 6–8 mm, translucent with reddish markings; basal glands c. 1 mm long, club-shaped, yellow with a red stalk.
