Caladenia erythrochila Hopper & A.P.Br.

Leaf 70–90 × 2 mm. Flower stem 200–250 mm long, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 50–60 mm across, blood red all over; sepals and petals with long, filamentous tips. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–40 × 1.5 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely decurved, with drooping tips, 45–50 × 1.5 mm. Petals obliquely erect to horizontal then drooping, 30–35 × 1.5 mm. Labellum 5.5–6 × 2.5–3 mm, blood red or with white bands; margins with short, forward-pointing teeth. Calli anvil-shaped, cream, 7–10 pairs in 2 rows. Column 4–5 × 2 mm, red.

Known from just two localities; growing among heathy shrubs under sparse jarrah forest on low hills in freely draining clay loam and laterite.
