Characteristics

Leaf 120–220 × 4–15 mm. Flower stem 200–600 mm tall, 1–5-flowered. Flowers 40–60 mm across, rusty brown to brownish red; sepals with relatively thick, brown clubs 7–12 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–50 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading to decurved, 35–50 × 3–4 mm, divergent. Petals spreading to upcurved, 25–40 × 2–4 mm. Labellum 15–20 × 10–13 mm, white to yellowish with a maroon apex; margins with 7–10 pairs of spreading, linear teeth to 7 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 6–8, c. 1.8 mm long, erect. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, yellowish to reddish, in 4 or 6 rows to base of midlobe. Column 12–15 × 7–9 mm, creamy yellow with brown to reddish markings; basal glands c. 1.3 mm long, club-shaped, yellow.
