Characteristics

Leaf linear, 70–120 × 3–4 mm. Flower stem 120–250 mm long, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 80–120 mm across, cream to creamy yellow with dull red markings; sepals and petals with long, brownish black or red, densely glandular, filamentous tips. Dorsal sepal erect, 50–80 × 1.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals spreading near base then decurved, 50–80 × 2–4 mm. Petals spreading horizontally or upcurved, 50–70 × 1.5–2 mm. Labellum 8–12 × 6–8 mm, white with prominent red stripes, spots and blotches; margins with numerous, prominent, short, blunt teeth; tip recurved. Calli anvil-shaped, to 1 mm long, cream, in 2 rows. Column 10–14 × 2–3 mm, cream with red markings.
