Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 60–100 × 10–15 mm, hairy. Flower stem 200–500 mm tall, sturdy, hairy, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 60–80 mm across, creamy white to yellowish green or red, strongly perfumed; sepals and petals with long, densely glandular, dark red to black tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 60–80 × 2–3 mm, straight or incurved. Lateral sepals obliquely drooping, 60–80 × 3–4 mm, divergent. Petals obliquely drooping, 50–70 × 2–3 mm. Labellum 16–20 × 8–10 mm, cream to red; margins with numerous, thick, red teeth to 1.5 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 8–10, c. 1 mm long, erect. Lamina calli to 1.3 mm long, reddish, in 4 or 6 sparse rows, central 2 rows nearly to labellum apex. Column 12–14 × 7–8 mm, translucent with central red markings; basal glands c. 1.3 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
