Characteristics

Leaf 80–200 × 5–15 mm. Flower stem 100–250 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 40–80 mm across, with a strong sweet scent, white with pink to pale pink suffusions; sepals with thick, light brown clubs 6–30 mm long. Dorsal sepal erect, 40–60 × 3–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals divergent, 40–75 × 3–6 mm, spreading then downcurved. Petals similarly arranged, 30–55 × 2–4 mm. Labellum 17–25 × 7–10 mm, dark pinkish red; margins with 6–8 pairs of relatively thick, spreading teeth to 6 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, dark pink, in 4 or 6 rows onto midlobe. Column 16–19 × 6–9 mm, creamy yellow with pink markings.
