Characteristics

Leaf 30–80 × 6–12 mm. Flower stem 40–150 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 25–30 mm across, smelly, green, yellowish or brownish with red central stripes and suffusions; sepals and petals with prominent, wide, bayonet-like, furrowed, brown clubs 5–15 × 2 mm. Dorsal sepal erect and incurved, 15–30 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 15–30 × 3 mm, divergent. Petals decurved, 12–20 × 1–2 mm. Labellum 9–11 × 8–9 mm, yellowish with red apex; margins irregular or with numerous short, blunt, green or red teeth; tip recurved. Basal calli 2, c. 2.5 mm long, club-shaped. Lamina calli to 1.6 mm long, thick, clubbed, reddish black, in 4 congested rows. Column 8–9 × 3–3.5 mm, transparent heavily marked with red; basal glands c. 2 mm long, ovoid, yellow with red stalk.
