Characteristics

Leaf 150–250 × 6–10 mm. Flower stem 200–400 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 50–70 mm across, with a strong, sickly sweet scent, pale pink to deep pink with white markings; sepals and petals with brownish, glandular, thread-like tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 45–70 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals horizontal near base then downcurved, 50–80 × 4–7 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 30–45 × 3–4 mm. Labellum 13–18 × 7–12 mm, dark pink, often with white base; margins with erect to spreading teeth to 5 mm long. Basal calli 6–8, c. 2 mm long, linear, erect. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, pink, in 4 rows to labellum apex. Column 12–14 × 5–6 mm, creamy yellow with pink markings; basal glands c. 2 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
