Leaf 100–180 × 7–12 mm. Flower stem 250–600 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 70–100 mm across, pale greenish yellow with red suffusions and markings; sepals with relatively thick, brown clubs 6–40 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 45–120 × 2.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals, stiffly, obliquely decurved, 40–120 × 4–7 mm, nearly parallel. Petals widely spreading to decurved, 30–60 × 3–5 mm. Labellum 23–30 × 13–20 mm, greenish with a maroon apex; margins with numerous, untidy, thin teeth to 15 mm long (sometimes forked); tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, thick, maroon, in 4 or 6 crowded rows onto midlobe. Column 7–22 × 10–14 mm, broadly winged, greenish with red blotches.
Rare and restricted to a number of small relict populations in coastal and near-coastal habitats. Occurs in narrow band within 20 km of coast. Found growing in dense heath and jarrah/Banksia forest, in deep, freely draining, grey to white sand; also under Spearwood (Kunzea ericifolia) in calcareous yellow sands.
