Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 100–260 × 8–14 mm, densely hairy. Flower stem 250–450 mm tall, sturdy, densely hairy, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 60–80 mm across, greenish yellow; sepals with thin, yellowish brown clubs 6–15 × 1 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–55 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly downcurved, 35–65 × 4–6 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 27–38 × 3–5 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, projecting forwards, 22–25 × 20–23 mm, greenish yellow with red apex, funnel-shaped at base; margins with numerous, widely spreading, green comb-teeth to 5 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 2.3 mm long, slender. Lamina calli to 1.3 mm long, pale red or yellowish, in 4 or 6 uncrowded rows onto base of red apex. Column 15–18 × 8–9 mm, translucent green with red markings; basal glands c. 2.5 mm long, ellipsoid, yellow.
