Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 60–100 × 7–10 mm, sparsely hairy. Flower stem 300–400 mm tall, slender, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 45–60 mm across, cream, pink or pale yellow, heavily streaked and suffused with red; sepals with long, slender, red clubs 10–25 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal incurved, 30–60 × 3–4 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 30–60 × 4–5 mm, divergent. Petals stiffly decurved, 25–45 × 3 mm. Labellum 10–13 × 7–9 mm, dark red; margins with numerous short, thick, dark red teeth; tip recurved. Calli to 1 mm long, dark red, glossy, well spaced in 4 or 6 rows onto base of midlobe. Column 10–11 × 4–5 mm, pink.
