Characteristics

Leaf 150–250 × 10–15 mm. Flower stem 200–500 mm long, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 60–80 mm across, greenish heavily marked with maroon; sepals with thin, yellowish clubs 5–15 × 0.8 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 45–70 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals decurved initially then upswept in front of labellum, 40–60 × 3.5–5 mm, closely parallel. Petals obliquely decurved, 35–45 × 2.5–3.5 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 18–22 × 15–20 mm, green to yellowish with dark purple apex; margins without teeth; tip projecting forwards (not recurved). Basal calli 6–8, c. 6 mm long, thinly clubbed. Lamina calli to 5 mm long, purplish, crowded in central band. Column strongly recurved at base then erect, 20–24 × 5–6 mm, transparent, heavily marked with red; basal glands c. 5–8 mm long, elongate, yellow with red base.
