Characteristics

Leaf linear, 50–100 × 1–2 mm, sparsely hairy. Flower stem 100–250 mm tall, thin, wiry, hairy, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 15–18 × 20–26 mm; internally pink, dusky red, purplish crimson to greenish brown with iridescent golden or purple tints; externally greenish, yellowish or brownish with dense, glandular hairs. Labellum white with red to purple bars and purple calli, midlobe dark reddish purple to nearly black; column white to greenish with red markings. Tepals narrow, well spaced. Dorsal sepal incurved, 11–13 × 3–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals narrow, 13–16 × 3 mm, widely divergent, margins often incurved. Petals narrow, 13–16 × 2–2.5 mm, spreading or upcurved, margins often incurved. Labellum 5–6 × 3 mm; lateral lobes entire; midlobe recurved, with numerous purple, marginal teeth. Basal calli 2, c. 0.7 mm long, strongly papillate; lamina calli c. 0.7 mm long, strongly papillate, crowded, in 4 rows to apex. Column 7–8 × 2.5 mm.
