Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 60–110 × 3–5 mm, hairy. Flower stem 120–350 mm tall, wiry, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, greenish yellow with red streaks and suffusions, sometimes mostly red; sepals and petals with short, thin, dark, glandular tips (no clubs, although sometimes relatively thick and club-like). Dorsal sepal erect or recurved, 25–40 × 2.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals spreading with drooping tips, 25–40 × 2.5–3 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 20–25 × 1.5 mm. Labellum 8–12 × 5.5–7 mm, maroon, base whitish striped with red; marginal teeth in 3–6 pairs, dark red, to 1.5 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 4–6, c. 1 mm long, erect. Lamina calli to 1.2 mm long, dark red, in 4 rows onto midlobe. Column 9–11 × 5 mm, translucent greenish; basal glands c. 1 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
