Characteristics

Leaf linear, 90–180 × 7–20 mm, densely hairy. Flower stem 200–350 mm tall, sturdy, densely hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, pale yellow to yellowish green with red markings; sepals and petals with thick, furrowed, flattish, yellowish to brown clubs 5–20 mm long (shorter clubs on petals). Dorsal sepal erect, 25–45 × 2–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly obliquely decurved, 25–45 × 5–8 mm, nearly parallel. Petals stiffly obliquely decurved, 20–35 × 2–3 mm. Labellum 13–18 × 7–14 mm, greenish to yellowish with a maroon apex; margins with obliquely erect to spreading teeth to 3 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 2.8 mm long, slender. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, maroon, in 4 or 6 closely placed rows. Column 12–15 × 6–9 mm, yellowish green with red markings; basal glands c. 1 mm long, oblong, yellow.
