Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 80–140 × 10–13 mm. Flower stem 150–300 mm long, sturdy, wiry, 1-flowered. Flowers 50–60 mm across, green to yellowish green with dark red central stripes; sepals with dark brown (sometimes greenish brown), flat, bayonet-shaped clubs 12–16 × 2 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal incurved, 45–60 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely decurved, 45–60 × 3.5–4 mm, divergent. Petals obliquely decurved, 30–35 × 1.5–2 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 18–22 × 14–18 mm, green to greenish yellow with a maroon apex (no white patch or very small white patch); basal margins with 6 or 7 pairs of thin, green comb-teeth to 5 mm long; midlobe margins with numerous blunt teeth; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 2.5 mm long. Lamina calli to 2 mm long, dark maroon, in 4 crowded rows onto base of maroon patch. Column 15–18 × 5–6 mm, transparent greenish with red streaks; basal glands c. 2 mm long, club-shaped, shiny yellow with a red basal stalk.
