Characteristics

Leaf 120–160 × 6–10 mm. Flower stem 150–250 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 30–60 mm across, dorsal sepal and petals yellow with reddish stains or lines, lateral sepals creamy yellow to greenish yellow with fine red lines; sepals and petals with small, dark, bead-like clubs 2–4 mm long. Dorsal sepal incurved close to column, 25–35 × 3.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely downcurved, 25–35 × 4–5 mm, divergent. Petals upswept, 25–30 × 3–4.5 mm. Labellum 11–13 × 10–11 mm, mostly red with darker radiating lines; basal margins entire; distal margins appearing entire, but recurved with crowded, blunt teeth less than 1 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2.5 mm long, blackish, in a dense central band that ends in a broad, massed cluster. Column 9–11 × 7–8 mm, very broadly winged, translucent yellowish with red markings; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, yellow with red stalk.
