Characteristics

Leaf 100–180 × 4–15 mm. Flower stem 120–200 mm tall, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 50–80 mm across, mostly brilliant white, occasionally pinkish; sepals with thick, rich brown or yellow clubs 12–25 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–55 × 3–4 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading with downcurved tips, 35–55 × 5–7 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 30–50 × 4–5 mm. Labellum 18–25 × 10–12 mm, pale pink with a red apex; margins with 6–8 pairs of spreading, linear teeth to 2.5 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 1.5 mm long, red, in 4 rows. Column 14–16 × 5–10 mm, broadly winged, creamy yellow with red markings.
