Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 100–150 × 10–15 mm, hairy. Flower stem 100–400 mm tall, sturdy, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 70–100 mm across, creamy white to yellowish green, strongly perfumed; sepals and petals with slender, brown to black, glandular tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 90–120 × 2.5–3.5 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals obliquely drooping, 90–120 × 4.5–6 mm, divergent. Petals obliquely drooping, 70–100 × 2–3 mm. Labellum 18–22 × 8–12 mm, cream (rarely red); margins with numerous thick, reddish teeth to 2 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, reddish, in 4 or 6 sparse rows extending almost to labellum apex.
