Characteristics

Leaf 100–300 × 5–15 mm. Flower stem 300–500 mm tall, 1–4-flowered. Flowers 50–80 mm across, cream to greenish yellow with red markings; sepals with thick brown clubs 10–25 × 1.5 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–60 × 3–5 mm. Lateral sepals spreading to downcurved, 35–60 × 4–5 mm, divergent. Petals spreading to upswept, 30–45 × 2.5–4 mm. Labellum 17–25 × 8–16 mm, greenish yellow with a shiny maroon apex; margins with thick, erect, clubbed teeth to 5 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, maroon, in 4 widely spaced rows onto midlobe. Column 17–20 × 6–12 mm, translucent greenish with red markings; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
