Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 70–130 × 10–15 mm. Flower stem 200–350 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 70–100 mm across, white or creamy white, sometimes with red lines and stains; sepals and petals with thin, brownish or blackish, glandular tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 60–80 × 3.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals spreading near base then obliquely deflexed to drooping, 60–80 × 5.5–7.5 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 40–70 × 3–5 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 15–20 × 8–11 mm, cream, creamy yellow or reddish; margins with numerous white or reddish teeth to 1.5 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 1.5 mm long, white or reddish, in 4 or 6 rows almost to labellum apex. Column 12–15 × 5–6 mm, translucent green with red markings; basal glands c. 1 mm long, ovoid, yellow.
