Characteristics

Leaf linear, 70–100 × 3–5 mm, densely hairy. Flower stem 160–200 mm tall, densely hairy, 1–3-flowered. Flowers 40–50 mm across, cream to creamy yellow with pale red markings; sepals and petals with long, dark brown, filamentous tips with relatively long osmophore cells. Dorsal sepal erect, 40–55 × 2mm. Lateral sepals horizontal then decurved to hanging, 40–55 × 2–3 mm. Petals similarly arranged, 35–45 × 2–3 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 8–14 × 7–9 mm, cream with pale red lines and blotches; margins with short, blunt or pointed teeth; tip recurved. Calli anvil-shaped, cream, sometimes with red marks, 8–14 pairs in 2 rows. Column 9–11 × 3–6 mm, cream with red markings.
