Characteristics

Leaf 100–250 × 7–10 mm. Flower stem 300–450 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 50–60 mm across, yellowish green heavily suffused and marked with red; sepals with thin brown clubs 15–25 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 40–65 × 2.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 40–65 × 3–4.5 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 30–45 × 2–3 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 12–15 × 12–15 mm, held ± erect, green with a dark red apex; margins with numerous erect, thin teeth to 5 mm long. Basal calli 6–8, c. 3 mm long, narrowly club-shaped, erect. Lamina calli to 2.5 mm long, dark red, densely crowded in 4 rows. Column 14–16 × 6–6.5 mm, transparent with red markings; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, oblong, yellow.
