Leaf 80–200 × 8–10 mm. Flower stem 150–300 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 40–60 mm across, crystalline white with reddish calli, externally striped with red; sepals and petals with thin, but prominent, red to blackish clubs 8–12 × 1.5 mm. Dorsal sepal erect, 25–45 × 3–3.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading to stiffly decurved, sometimes held obliquely erect, 40–50 × 4–7 mm, divergent. Petals stiffly spreading to recurved, 25–37 × 3–5 mm. Labellum 14–16 × 9–11 mm, white; margins with numerous white-tipped, reddish teeth to 1.5 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 4–6, c. 1 mm long, erect. Lamina calli to 1.3 mm long, red with white tips, in 4 or 6 crowded rows well onto the midlobe. Column 10–12 × 4–4.5 mm, transparent, heavily marked with red; basal glands c. 1.3 mm long, yellow with a red basal stalk.
Once common, but now highly localised and known from very few sites; growing among shrubs and grass trees on ridges and slopes in open forest dominated by yellow gum and long-leaved box in freely draining, sandy loam.
