Characteristics

Leaf linear-lanceolate, 80–100 × 8–10 mm, hairy. Flower stem 200–300 mm tall, slender, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 30–40 mm across, cream to creamy yellow with red markings, sometimes mostly red; sepals with thick, red to blackish clubs 5–10 mm long; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 25–35 × 3–4 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals spreading to stiffly decurved, 25–35 × 3–4 mm, divergent. Petals stiffly spreading, 20–30 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum 12–14 × 7–11 mm, cream to yellowish at base, apex maroon or wholly red; margins with up to 10 pairs of prominent, thick, dark red teeth to 1 mm long, decreasing to apex; tip recurved. Calli to 1 mm long, dark red, shiny, in 4 or 6 crowded rows onto base of midlobe. Column 10–12 × 4–5 mm, red.
