Characteristics

Leaf linear, 60–80 × 7–10 mm, sparsely hairy, often reddish beneath. Flower stem 150–250 mm tall, wiry, 1-flowered. Flowers 25–35 mm across, greenish cream with red central stripes, sometimes wholly suffused with red; sepals with thick brown clubs 5–7 × 1 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal incurved, 25–40 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely decurved, 25–40 × 4–5 mm, divergent. Petals obliquely decurved, 20–25 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 14–16 × 14–16 mm, nearly triangular, green with large maroon apex; basal margins with 3 or 4 pairs of thin, green comb-teeth to 3 mm long; midlobe margins with 3–6 pairs of short, blunt teeth; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 3 mm long. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, maroon, in 4 or 6 irregular rows onto base of maroon patch. Column incurved, 13–15 × 5.5–6 mm, transparent with red streaks; basal glands c. 2 mm long, club-shaped, yellow with red stalk, shiny.
