Leaf 70–120 × 2–3 mm. Flower stem 50–150 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 20–30 mm across, pale yellow with broad red stripes; sepals and petals with thick, brownish to dark red clubs 4–6 mm long. Dorsal sepal erect, 15–20 × 1–1.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 15–20 × 1.5–2 mm. Petals erect to upswept, 15–20 × 1 mm. Labellum 8–10 × 5–6 mm, whitish red with dark red lines; margins with 3–6 pairs of short, blunt teeth; apex upcurved in an S-shape, with a thickened, dark red, glandular club. Calli anvil-shaped, red, 5–8 pairs in 2 rows. Column 6–8 × 2.5–3 mm, translucent with reddish markings; basal glands absent.
Locally common; growing in mallee vegetation, granite outcrops and on sheltered slopes of banded ironstone hills, in freely draining, gravelly or stony soil; often found growing in accumulations of leaves and litter.
