Characteristics

Leaf 150–250 × 5–12 mm. Flower stem 350–600 mm tall, 1–4-flowered. Flowers large, 100–150 mm across, with a strong, sweet perfume, white often with pink tinges; sepals and petals with long, brownish, thread-like tips (no clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 80–130 × 2.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly horizontal at base then downcurved, 80–150 × 5–9 mm, divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 65–105 × 3–6 mm. Labellum 20–30 × 8–16 mm, white or pinkish; margins with erect to outcurved thin teeth (often forked) to 15 mm long. Basal calli 6–8, c. 3 mm long, linear, erect. Lamina calli to 2.5 mm long, white or pink, in 4 or 6 rows. Column 15–23 × 7–12 mm; basal glands c. 2 mm long, narrowly ovoid, yellow.
